New private island resort to open in Fiji

Kokomo Island is a new, 140-acre, private island resort due to open next year in Fiji’s Kadavu Island group.

Accommodation will include 21 Beachfront Villas with private pools and walled gardens; five Hilltop Luxury Residences and the Owners’ Beachfront Residence.

Surrounding the island is the Great Astrolabe Reef, which is the fourth largest reef in the world, offering guests water activities like diving, snorkelling, fishing or kayaking.

Kokomo Island is being developed by Australian property developer, Lang Walker, who has conceptualised the property as a barefoot luxury-style holiday destination designed to meet the needs of inter-generational travellers.

Guest amenities will include a tennis court, a Fijian spa, and restaurants.

Kokomo Island will open on 31 March 2017, with villas available on a limited basis from January 2017. All-inclusive daily rates start at US$2,600 (about A$3,449) per night for a one-bedroom Private Beachfront Villa, including meals and beverages, accommodation, a spa treatment and selected activities.
