A preview of the largest Cathay Pacific lounge

Cathay Pacific has unveiled its newly refurbished, soon-to-be-opened business class lounge at The Pier, Hong Kong International Airport. The lounge occupies more than 3,300 square metres of space, with a capacity for 550 people, making it the largest lounge in the Cathay Pacific network.

Designed by London-based design company Studioilse, the lounge conveys a distinctly ‘Hong Kong identity’, with dining options including the airline’s signature The Noodle Bar; as well as The Food Hall, a self-service kiosk option featuring a coffee cart serving barista-made brews.

The lounge also has a Tea House – a Cathay Pacific first – which offers a selection of teas served by a ‘tea specialist’.

For passengers looking to refresh, a relaxation room is available with loungers and footstools, as well as 14 shower suites.

The Pier Business Class Lounge is scheduled to open in June 2016 and will be accessible for passengers travelling in first and business class, as well as members of the airline’s Marco Polo Club program holding Silver or above status. Oneworld members holding an Emerald or Sapphire status departing and transiting Hong Kong also have access to the lounge, which will be open from 5:30am until the last departure.
